All these bloody cars,
And no sign of life.
Communicate in crashes,
Hand-signs, horns or headlight flashes.
Pavements for the poor,
Nighthawks, strange sorts,
And wanderers from the local pub.
It's a lonely tour,
Walking home,
Of mini cabs, paving slabs,
And the drink drivers club.
